Position Summary MPCS is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, and program-focused Program Care Coordinator to support the delivery and coordination of MPCS programs and services for individuals and families affected by cancer. The Program Care Coordinator will coordinate client participation and logistics for several signature programs including but not limited to MPCS Outreach, Mobile Miles, SMILES for Miles, Back to School and the Giving Tree Program. Key aspects of the role include: Develop and maintain program schedules, timelines, participant lists, communications, and other program-related documents. Coordinate program logistics with internal staff, community partners and other stakeholders. Monitor program participation, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide feedback and updates to the Care Director. Assist with developing and maintain program materials, resources, and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely records related to program participation and client services. Ensure programs are delivered in accordance with MPCS policies, procedures, and establish eligibility requirement. Respond to the immediate needs of clients, family members, and caregivers respectfully and compassionately. Remain sensitive to client, family member, and caregivers' emotional needs as they deal with cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Other duties as assigned by the Care Director Qualifications Experience in program coordinating in a non-profit or social services organization required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Experience working in oncology and with clients of all ages is preferred. Leads with a servant heart and empathy toward self and others, while maintaining healthy and professional boundaries with clients and their families. Self-starter with strong teamwork, interpersonal, and active listening skills. Highly organized and detailed oriented. Ability to connect to people of diverse backgrounds. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to properly engage clients in stressful situations and medical crises. Ability to maintain focus on multiple projects and appropriately prioritize activities. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and MPCS's outside partners. Ability to maintain client confidentiality at all times. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting objects weighing as much as 25 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to drive the MPCS Mobile Miles van, a large passenger van, to the Mobile Miles locations in New Iberia, Opelousas, Crowley, and Mamou.
