Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Mental Health Specialist to join our Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
This position will incorporate the mental health assistant duties during times when not performing the urgent care duties. This position is used to effectively triage patients into emergent and urgent care appointments. Information obtained from multiple sources and use of a triage tool will assist in appropriate placement for patients. This individual will have the primary responsibility for daily maintenance of the urgent/emergent visual control board. This requires a variety of computer and paper tasks supporting clinical process to ensure that the data access and integrity of patient information is maintained accurately and timely for continuum of care. Ensures quality support and strong customer service skills demonstrated by timely and courteous communication and scheduling appointments. This position directly supports our mission in providing excellent personalized care and service.Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pmRequired Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Four-year degree in a human service or psychology area is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Organized, detail oriented with strong communication, listening, and human relation skills. Strong computer skills, related office programs, medical terminology and knowledge of last word helpful. Ability to adapt to rapid changing environments. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and insure safety of patients. Self motivator who is able to work effectively and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without immediate supervision. Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: multi-lined telephone system, fax machine, photo copier, printer, personal computer and associated software applications, last word, and pager.Benefits
