Columbia Orthopaedic Group is looking for a full-time Patient Appointment Specialist to join our team. This position is often one of the first points of contact for our patients. You'll help patients schedule appointments, answer questions, and make sure they are connected with the right provider and services. We're looking for someone who communicates well, pays attention to the details, and genuinely enjoys helping people. What You'll Do Answer incoming patient calls and assist with scheduling needs Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Help patients navigate provider availability and services Update patient demographics and appointment information in the electronic medical record Provide accurate information about our providers, services, and clinic processes Work closely with clinical teams to resolve scheduling questions or conflicts Maintain accurate documentation and scheduling records Provide friendly, professional service, even when the phones are busy Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Previous customer service or administrative experience Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Dependable, professional, and patient-focused Someone who works well as part of a team Healthcare experience is helpful, but not required. Experience with appointment scheduling, patient access, a medical office, or an electronic medical record system is a plus.
