Responsibilities:
Provides quality orthopaedic care for patients requiring all forms of immobilization. Responsible for applying, removing, and assessing the need for a change of all types of orthopaedic casts and immobilization devices. Measures and fits custom braces. Educates patients/families regarding the application/wearing of orthotic devices and serves as a resource for patients via telephone. Maintains patient care environment including orders, receiving, and stores supplies; cleans/stocks exam and cast rooms; assists in cleaning and sterilization of instruments. Assist with fitting braces and special casts when needed. Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines. Attends required clinic meetings and participates in professional development activities. Performs related work as required. High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
