Job Description

As our Intake Clinician, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking help—often during moments of vulnerability and uncertainty. Your ability to listen, assess needs accurately, and connect clients with the right services will set the tone for their entire care experience. You won't just be processing paperwork—you'll be opening the door to hope, stability, and transformation. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic screenings. Collaborate with clients to identify immediate needs and appropriate treatment pathways. Coordinate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers to ensure seamless care transitions. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in our electronic health record system. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary, using trauma-informed approaches. Educate clients and families about available resources, treatment options, and next steps. Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for all patients and visitors. Schedule varies to cover shifts for planned vacations and unexpected callouts. Requirements Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required. Current Nevada State clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Clinical Intern, or equivalent licensure) preferred. Experience conducting clinical assessments in a behavioral health, hospital, or community setting. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and communicate with empathy. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
