About the Role We're looking for a dedicated Same Day Surgery Technician to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our patient care team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responds to patient/family requests. Tells patient/family what to expect, when and why; informs patient/family when problems arise. Documents and communicates patient's vital signs and any other pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team. Delivers care to patients as directed by the Registered Nurse with maximum attention to the comfort and satisfaction needs of the patient. Assists in preparing patients for special treatments or procedures and performs surgical scrubs. Assist in chart preparation Transports patients as needed and demonstrates a supportive and willing attitude. Maintains a tracking system of each patient receiving and disseminating all incoming and outgoing communications for the department. Assist staff in preparing for the next day's schedule. I.e. setting up equipment, keeping unit clean and stocked. Uses clinical equipment accurately and correctly when needed to perform basic patient care. Maintains an appropriate inventory of supplies. Submits appropriate work orders, orders supplies, internal and external special orders. What You Bring High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Hospital patient care experience preferred Minimum of 1 year validated experience as a nursing assistant in a direct medical patient care setting preferred
