Position Responsibilities Scheduling/Confirming appointments Maintaining all office schedules Verifying & retrieving insurance benefits Accurately entering information into computer system Ensuring doctor's schedule remains full Greeting patients/customers Providing excellent customer service Managing inbound/outbound calls Administrative duties (copying, faxing, scanning, ordering supplies, etc.) Collecting & processing payments Timely responding to patient phone calls, voice mails & texts Timely & accurately documenting all patient communication Preparing patients for the doctor Obtaining patient ocular & medical history Documenting chief complaints Providing education for patients & their family members Ordering contact lenses Assisting in marketing activities Cross training into other areas of the office Performing any other duties as deemed necessary Position Qualifications Proficient in typing & computer skills Energetic with excellent customer service skills Be organized Team player Ability to multitask & prioritize tasks Excellent written & verbal communication skills with patients & team members Must be dependable & punctual Excellent time management skills Attention to detail Ability to work in a fast paced environment Other points of interest Previous experience not necessary if motivated to learn a new career!
