Job Description

Overview Move Better is a movement based medical clinic that specializes in patients with chronic pain. Our patients have often seen many other providers but still have not found a solution. We provide that solution. We have a reliable system of evaluation and intervention that actually helps people get better. We heavily value the relationships we have with our staff and our patients. In this role you will be a vital part of the team, ensuring smooth administrative workflows and accurate billing processes. Your expertise will help streamline patient interactions, manage medical records, and facilitate claims submissions. Experience is a plus, but not required - We are happy to train the right candidate. If you enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment this is a great role for you! You will need to be in our Portland clinic regularly and you need to be able to switch between patient interaction and billing regularly. That is not an easy task to do. Everyone one of our staff is expected to know how to run the clinic and back each other up, doctors heavily included on this. As such, we need someone we can connect with. We need people that enjoy movement in their life, in whatever that means to them. We need people that actively work on their health, in whatever that means to them. Finally, the right hire will want to connect with the staff we spend so much of our time with. As a small business, we are tight knit team and are friends as much as coworkers. Responsibilities Patient Experience Coordinator (Admin) As a Patient Experience Coordinator, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: To greet, check out and schedule patients with competency and professionalism, as well as managing a variety of office tasks and attending work related meetings and other social/work events as needed during reasonable business hours. Participate in and grow local community outreach. Help with cleaning and organizing the front waiting room, bathroom, treatment rooms, and any common space of the clinic. Front desk assistance including filing, faxing, copying, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and similar tasks. Inventory (ordering supplies, accountability of goods, and organizing supplies). Assist the Clinic Manager in billing, patient management, and administrative duties as assigned. Help with office tasks and attend work related meetings and other social/work events as needed during reasonable business hours. Medical Biller As a Medical Biller, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Insurance verifications Prior-Authorizations Collections of payments from patients Submission and tracking of billing to and payments from insurance providers Submit and track and appeal denials for payment from insurance provider Employment at Move Better is an inherently physically demanding occupation due to the method of treatment rendered and the equipment used on a daily basis.
