Job Description

Care Manager Assistant (1099 Independent Contractor, Part-Time) Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Care Manager Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our care management services. This independent contractor will assist with administrative functions, client follow-up, care coordination support, documentation, scheduling, and other tasks that help ensure the smooth functioning of the care management team. The ideal candidate has prior healthcare experience, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Position Type Part-Time 1099 Independent Contractor Flexible hours based on business needs Remote with occasional local meetings as needed (mostly always remote, likely) Key Responsibilities Administrative Support Assist with day-to-day administrative functions of the care management program. Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation. Prepare, update, and manage care management files and reports. Track outstanding tasks and ensure timely completion. Client & Family Follow-Up Conduct follow-up calls with clients, families, providers, and community resources as directed by the Care Manager. Document interactions and communicate updates promptly. Care Coordination Support Support care managers in coordinating services, appointments, and referrals. Facilitate communication among healthcare providers, clients, families, and community partners. Monitor task completion and follow through on action items. Scheduling & Communication Schedule appointments, meetings, and consultations. Send reminders and maintain calendars. Respond to emails and inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Documentation & Compliance Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and entered in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality of all client information. Follow HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience. Experience working in a healthcare, case management, care coordination, social services, home care, or related setting. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic documentation systems. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Reliable internet access and computer equipment. Preferred Experience supporting Care Managers, Case Managers, Social Workers, Nurses, or Geriatric Care Managers. Familiarity with healthcare terminology and community resources. Experience with EMR/EHR systems. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, psychology, nursing, public health, or a related field. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
