Job Description

Treatment Coordinator Help patients understand their care. Help them feel confident moving forward. A great Treatment Coordinator does more than talk about treatment and schedule appointments. You are the person who helps connect the dots between what the doctor recommends and what the patient actually understands. You help patients feel comfortable asking questions, understand their options, and feel confident about taking the next step. We're looking for someone who is warm, confident, organized, and genuinely good with people. Someone who can have a meaningful conversation with a patient, understand what they need, and help them move forward with the care that can improve their health. What you'll do You'll work closely with our doctors and team to make sure patients understand and follow through with their recommended care. Present treatment recommendations clearly and confidently Help patients understand their treatment options Discuss treatment fees, insurance benefits, and financial options Schedule treatment and coordinate appointments Follow up with patients who aren't quite ready to move forward Communicate closely with doctors about patient questions and concerns Help patients navigate their insurance benefits Keep treatment plans organized and moving forward Look for opportunities to improve case acceptance and the patient experience Help the front office team wherever needed Stay organized while managing multiple patients and priorities Pivot quickly when the schedule or patient's needs change The kind of person who will thrive here We're looking for someone who is comfortable having conversations. You don't have to be a salesperson and we don't want you to be. You need to be someone who can listen. A patient may have concerns about cost. Another may be nervous about treatment. Someone else may simply need more time to understand why the doctor recommended something. Your job is to meet the patient where they are, answer their questions, and help them understand the value of taking care of their health. Sometimes that means explaining insurance. Sometimes it means finding a financial solution. Sometimes it means simply listening. And sometimes it means knowing when to follow up rather than letting a patient fall through the cracks. You'll work closely with our doctors. We want our Treatment Coordinator to be an extension of the doctor. You should understand what the doctor is recommending and why. You should feel comfortable asking questions, clarifying treatment, and communicating patient concerns back to the clinical team. The best Treatment Coordinators aren't just waiting for the doctor to hand them a treatment plan. They're thinking ahead. They know what questions a patient is likely to have. They recognize when something needs clarification. They make sure the patient leaves understanding what was recommended and what happens next. You have to be able to pivot. Dental offices are busy, and the day doesn't always go according to plan. A patient needs extra time. A doctor gets behind. An appointment changes. An insurance question comes up. A patient isn't ready to schedule. That's part of the job. We're looking for someone who can stay calm, adjust, and keep moving without losing sight of the patient in front of them. What we're looking for Previous dental treatment coordinating or dental front office experience preferred Basic understanding of dental insurance and benefits Comfortable discussing treatment fees and financial options Strong communication and listening skills Confident talking with patients about recommended treatment Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Flexible and able to pivot throughout the day Someone who takes initiative and looks for solutions Positive energy and a great attitude Comfortable working closely with doctors and the entire team Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people A desire to grow and become really good at what you do Why you'll love working here We believe the best teams are made up of people who care about what they do and care about the people they work with. You'll work with a team that values communication, accountability, teamwork, and doing what's best for the patient. We have high expectations, but we also believe in supporting our people, teaching them, and giving them the opportunity to grow. You'll have an important role in the practice—and you'll be able to see the impact you make. Because when a patient who was hesitant finally says, "Okay, let's do it," you know you helped them take a step toward better health. If you're the person we're looking for... You're organized but not rigid. You're confident but not pushy. You're empathetic but can still have the hard conversations. You can handle insurance questions, treatment conversations, scheduling changes, and a busy day—and still greet the next patient with a smile. Most importantly, you care about people and want to be part of a team that cares, too. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you. Come meet the team and see what makes our practice different.
