A Dental Treatment Coordinator is responsible for guiding patients through their dental care journey by coordinating treatment plans, scheduling appointments, explaining procedures and financial options, and ensuring an excellent patient experience. They act as the communication link between the dentist, clinical team, and patients to help patients understand and commit to recommended treatment. Sample Job Description Dental Treatment Coordinator We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will help patients understand their treatment plans, coordinate appointments, manage financial arrangements, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience. Responsibilities Present and explain treatment plans to patients Coordinate scheduling for dental procedures and follow-up visits Verify insurance coverage and discuss financial/payment options Answer patient questions regarding treatment and procedures Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate with dentists and clinical staff regarding patient care Follow up with patients on pending or incomplete treatment Ensure a positive and welcoming patient experience Assist with front desk and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous dental office experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with dental practice management software Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Customer service and sales skills are a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Skills Patient communication Scheduling and coordination Insurance verification Financial presentation Attention to detail Team collaboration Problem-solving Work Environment Dental office
