Job Description
Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $17.50 - $22.75/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Works under the supervision of the Manager/Director as a welcoming first point of contact, providing nonclinical education on available midlife health services and assisting patients with scheduling. Delivers exceptional customer service by verifying insurance eligibility, completing patient registration, and accurately entering patient demographic information. Responsibilities also include warmly greeting patients, managing incoming phone calls, taking and directing messages, scheduling appointments, creating referrals, and ensuring patients receive clear, accurate, and courteous information to support a positive care experience. What you will do Serves as a first point of contact for midlife patients seeking care, services or programs. Conducts or decipher nonclinical intake assessments (AI assisted) to gather information necessary to appropriately schedule patient with provider or service. Explain care pathways, service offerings and next steps in a clear and sensitive manner. Support patients through scheduling process and ensure timely coordination and follow up appointments. Work to reduce No Shows and other delays in care. Act as a liaison between patients and clerical teams at defined place of service.
