Job Description

Johnson Orthodontics is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Front Desk Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. Our front desk plays a vital role in our practice. This person is often the first voice a patient hears on the phone and the first face they see when they walk through our doors. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of creating a welcoming, professional, and positive experience from the very first interaction. This is much more than answering phones and scheduling appointments. Our Front Desk Scheduling Coordinator will be expected to learn orthodontic terminology, treatment processes, appointment types, and general orthodontic knowledge in order to confidently communicate with patients, parents, and our clinical team.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and families warmly and professionally Answering and managing incoming phone calls Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments Learning orthodontic terminology, procedures, and appointment types Understanding our scheduling system and keeping the clinical schedule organized and productive Communicating appointment instructions and general treatment information to patients and parents Checking patients in and out and maintaining accurate patient information Managing schedule changes, cancellations, and rescheduling Communicating closely with our doctors, clinical team, and other front-office team members Providing excellent customer service and helping patients feel comfortable and cared for Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times Assisting with additional front-office responsibilities as needed We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with people all day Professional in person and over the phone Dependable and punctual Organized and able to multitask Detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to remain calm and positive when the office gets busy A strong communicator and team player Willing and able to learn orthodontic terminology and treatment concepts Comfortable learning new technology and computer systems Someone who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Position Details Full-time position. Our team works together at both our Roanoke and Dublin locations , so applicants must be comfortable traveling to both offices as scheduled.
Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
