A Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, compiling, modeling, validating, and analyzing clinical trial results data needed by pharmaceutical companies, governmental agencies, and biotechnology firms evaluate the effectiveness of their trial drugs. May be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing clinical data reporting systems for the clinical staff to use.

Job Description

Description Essential Functions Trains dragon providers on DMO. Troubleshoots, responds to and resolves issues related to documentation via Dragon devices. This will include site visits to multiple facilities, providing system support to physicians. Monitors Open Encounters, In Basket Results and delinquent documentation (including home health). Updates appropriate delinquent spreadsheets and sends to providers In Basket where appropriate. Assists with deceasing and duplicate patient merge process. Creates dismissal letters at provider request and performs certified mail process through to completion. Creates clinic wide dismissal letters per request of Risk Management. Completes certified mail process for any provider generated letters. Acts upon Request for Amendment to patient records and forwards appropriately to the Office of Compliance. Monitors dermpath folder and updates as needed. Monitors 7-day release work queue on daily basis. Assists analyst with weekly EKG reports as well as runs daily EKG reports, routing to appropriate providers and following through to see that they are completed in a timely fashion. Responsible for the testing and implementation plan for all upgrades related to Dragon and the EHR. Assists with the upgrade testing for those systems interfaced with the EHR. Provide support to Clinical Informatics Director/Assistant Director and Lead on special projects at request.
Requirements Required Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum three years medical terminology experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prefer Epic/Athena (IDX) experience. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and related applications. Understand different Dragon user documentation styles with ability to train users and troubleshoot issues.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient medical terminology in multiple specialties. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, with the ability to exercise judgement and discretion.
