Epic RCM Performance Analyst Position Summary Join Deloitte's AI & Engineering practice to deliver back-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) services, including Billing and Claims Submission, A/R Follow-up, Denials Management, Payment Posting, and Credits and Refunds, for health care provider client Recruiting for this role ends on 11/01/2026. Work you'll do As an Epic RCM Performance Analyst on the AI & Engineering team, you will develop and maintain KPI reporting and dashboards tracking denial rates, AR aging, remittance trends, and productivity and quality performance across the operations team. Analyze 835/277 remittance and claims data using Epic Resolute and BI reporting tools to identify high-impact denial categories, payer-specific patterns, and systemic billing variances. Build and maintain Excel-based models and BI reports / dashboards to convert raw claims and remittance data into audit-ready, decision-useful insights. Conduct ongoing trend analysis and root-cause sampling of denial, variance, and productivity data to isolate systemic, payer, or process-driven issues. Partner with quality assurance, training, and operations leadership to validate findings and confirm root causes prior to remediation. Monitor payer guideline and requirement changes and assess their downstream impact on denial trends and account processing performance. Collaborate with operational teams to translate analytic findings into targeted process improvement recommendations and remediation plans. Supporting implementation of remediation plans by working with staff and team leads to confirming corrective actions are applied and sustained. Track the effectiveness of interventions over time and refine analytic and reporting approach based on outcomes. Develop clear, data-driven materials and presentations for internal leadership and client stakeholders summarizing KPI performance, trends, and recommended actions. Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with root-cause narratives, performance summaries, and improvement recommendations. Present analytic findings to varied audiences, from operational staff to client and engagement leadership. Qualifications Required:
3+ years of experience in back-end revenue cycle operations, with working knowledge of core functions (claims, denials, AR follow-up, credits, payment posting) Hands-on experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and claims clearinghouse systems, including tracing 835/277 remittance data Demonstrated experience conducting root-cause and translating findings into recommended process improvements Advanced Excel skills with familiarity in Epic Analytics/Reporting or other BI reporting tools Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate KPI, quality, and productivity data into actionable insights Experience developing reporting materials and presentations for internal leadership and/or client audiences Clear, confident communicator able to present findings and recommendations to varied audience sizes
Preferred:
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience supporting clinical or healthcare business operations Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams Experience preparing and delivering technical demonstrations Experience analyzing billing workflows, claim issues, or operational data The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $90,000. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
