Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
Facilitates the coordination of medical staff data analysis and performance improvement activities for department reviews. Including ongoing data collection, interpretation, measurement, assessment, and benchmarking. Maintains current medical profiles and protected quality files for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE). Supports department leadership in determining clinical indicators and validate data accuracy.
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing or other healthcare related degree preferred.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
RN license or other medical certification required. CPHQ preferred
Experience:
Minimum of five years' clinical healthcare experience required. Previous experience with quality management preferred. Must have experience working with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement large-scale programs and can effectively present programs to diverse audiences
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Experience in Quality Improvement techniques. Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong prioritization skills is essential Thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Able to demonstrate proficiency with PC (esp. Microsoft office products) and various data management and reporting systems. Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills (both verbal and written) is critical.
