Join us! Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible for managing hospital wide and medical staff quality review processes for the Cardiovascular Program. Duties include abstracting quality data from the medical record, including but not limited to, medical staff quality indicators, surgical case/invasive procedure review, blood usage review, mortality review, special targeted studies/research and complications review in accordance with QI standards and procedures. Assists the Vice President of Quality in review and management of hospital wide quality initiatives including but not limited to the following: What you will do in this role: Demonstrates ability to plan, develop, organize, prepare, direct, and manage organizational quality data to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the hospital. Demonstrates ability to analyze quality reports and prepare/compile comparative summary for VPQ review in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrates ability to maintain the confidential nature of all quality activities for the hospital. Characterizes process work flows, designs effective innovations and creates plans for implementation/post implementation evaluation. Leads projects that are data-driven and demonstrates a commitment to an improved culture of safety, increased efficiencies and/or improved patient care quality across the continuum. Identifies education and training needs required to implement projects; coordinates with appropriate disciplines to ensure all educational requirements are met. Identifies opportunities for improvement, risk management issues, or other quality/safety concerns Alerts VPQ and/or medical staff officers of quality concerns/opportunities. Considers TJC, NPSG's, and other regulatory requirements/standards when conducting reviews. Attends & reports in hospital committee meetings as requested.
