ARNP - MAT

Services Athena Health KY LLC is seeking a compassionate and qualified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/APRN) to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services within our substance use treatment program. The ARNP will play an important role in providing evidence-based medical care to individuals experiencing substance use disorders while working collaboratively with our counseling and behavioral health team. Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical and substance use assessments for new and existing clients. Evaluate clients for appropriateness of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Initiate and manage MAT medications as clinically appropriate and within the provider's scope of practice. Provide ongoing medication management, follow-up appointments, and monitoring of client progress. Monitor medication effectiveness, adherence, side effects, and potential concerns. Coordinate care with counselors, therapists, case management, and other members of the treatment team. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and medical records. Develop and update treatment recommendations based on each client's individual needs. Provide education to clients regarding medications, recovery, overdose prevention, and substance use disorders. Assist with referrals to higher levels of care and other medical or behavioral health services when appropriate. Participate in treatment team meetings and communicate effectively with clinical staff. Follow all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations, policies, and procedures related to controlled substances and MAT. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other applicable privacy requirements. Provide compassionate, nonjudgmental, recovery-oriented care. Qualifications Current Kentucky

APRN/ARNP

licensure in good standing. Current DEA registration and appropriate prescribing authority, as applicable to the position. Appropriate prescriptive authority for MAT medications. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred. MAT/buprenorphine experience strongly preferred. Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, outpatient treatment, or an AODE setting preferred. Knowledge of substance use disorders, withdrawal, relapse prevention, and recovery principles. Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
