Join our team at The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The Harris Center") as a Master Level Clinician (MLC) with our L.I.F.E Pathway team . We're seeking a dedicated professional who will revolutionize the way we provide clinical services. Master Level Clinician performs clinical activities related to increased suicide risk such as independent assessments, suicide risk assessment, safety planning and other evidence-based interventions as directed by the treatment plan and/or identified consumer need(s) under the clinical supervision of an LPHA. This position interfaces with Treatment teams, both inpatient and outpatient, and authorizes the medical necessity of services as indicated. May be necessary to travel to or transport consumers to homes or other field locations in the provision of services.

What you will do:

1. Participates in formulation of the consumer's treatment (inclusive of assessment of needs,treatment planning, admit/discharge planning, and service authorization).2. Monitors consumer progress with treatment goals to determine effectiveness of interventions.3. Performs clinical assessments to evaluate the individual's priority population diagnosticeligibility and treatment needs.4. Provides cognitive behavioral therapy focusing on the reduction or elimination of symptoms ofsevere and persistent mental illness and increasing the individual's ability to perform activities ofdaily living.5. Provides crisis intervention to individuals to reduce symptoms and prevent admission to a morerestrictive environment.6. Provides training on the nature of mental illness, the importance of medications, and othermedication related information using the TIMA curricula as well as, other trainings asdesignated.7. Provides skills training services that address the severe and persistent mental illness andsymptom related problems that interfere with the individual's functioning.8. Performs activities to assist consumers in gaining and coordinating access to necessary care andservices based on individual needs.9. Responsible for reviewing and authorizing treatment/services based on medical necessity.10. Ensures all services provided meet eligibility criteria and are authorized in accordance withagency and regulatory guidelines.11.Meets Divisional productivity standards.12.Performs related work as assigned. Adapts to changing work requirements. Complies with Centerpolicies and procedures, accrediting/regulatory bodies and performance contract documentationrequirements13.Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities14.Advocates for consumers to ensure that needs are met both within The Harris Center system and inthe community.15.Communicates and works with consumers/visitors/other staff in a manner that demonstratesknowledge of cultural diversities16.Completes reporting/training as designated in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements:

Master's Degree and one of the following licenses in the state of

Texas:

LPC-A, LMFT-A or LMSW.6 months of clinical experience.
