Clinical Nurse Preceptor Schedule:
This is a full-time position with approximately 40 hour/week.

Who We're Seeking:
Are you an experienced RN who loves mentoring others as much as caring for patients? We are looking for a full-time Clinical Preceptor for our Barre, VT office to train, support, and inspire the next generation of home care clinicians while continuing to provide hands-on patient care as a staff clinician.
Your Responsibilities:
As a member of our dedicated team, you'll: Guide, assess, and mentor new clinical staff during their orientation and onboarding process. Ensure compliance with the Vermont Nurse Practice Act by implementing and reinforcing clinical standards. Observe clinical skills and patient interactions, offering constructive feedback to support staff growth. Collaborate with the Quality Nurse Educator to develop education plans, communicate best practices, and stay updated on emerging home care trends. Review clinical documentation, offering guidance to ensure accuracy and completeness for both new and current staff. Continuously assess new clinicians to gauge their understanding and identify areas for additional training. Regularly meet with the Quality Nurse Educator and Clinical Managers to discuss the progress of new clinical staff. Contribute to the professional development of the healthcare team through active participation in relevant activities. Offer shadowing opportunities for prospective clinicians interested in joining the agency, providing valuable insight into the role and responsibilities.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years' full-time clinical experience preferred. Home care experience and/or previous case management experience in a home care setting and discharge planning and/or utilization review experience preferred. Clinical Preceptor experience preferred. Valid Vermont or compact registered nursing license required. Valid driver's license required. Ready to Make a Difference?
