Agoura Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361 $24.48 - $30.00 an hour - Part-time $24.48 - $30.00 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our Outpatient PHP and IOP focused on substance abuse and mental health center in Westlake Village. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling services to individuals, families, and couples. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, fostering growth and resilience through innovative therapeutic interventions. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards. Deliver individual, group, family, and couples therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement counseling interventions tailored to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Collect and analyze clinical data for progress tracking, research purposes, and compliance with healthcare diagnosis coding such as ICD-10 and CPT coding. Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, home & community care plans, and hospital or outpatient services. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote counseling sessions while adhering to clinical standards for virtual care. Requirements Current enrollment in an approved AMFT internship program or equivalent licensure pathway. Experience working with children, families, or individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management. Proficiency in counseling interventions such as motivational interviewing, behavioral health strategies, and family therapy modalities. Strong communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare providers. Experience working with diverse populations in settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or community-based programs. Telehealth experience is preferred; ability to adapt counseling approaches for virtual delivery is essential.
