Responsibilities:

This position works with juveniles in a correctional environment, providing direct clinical services, assessment and multifaceted clinical therapy, drug and alcohol treatment and psycho educational prevention services, and/or rehabilitative services to juveniles and their families. The incumbent will work closely with a juvenile's treatment team to provide accurate and up-to-date progress to facilitate the best outcome for the juvenile. Treatment modalities include but are not limited to group facilitation and individual sessions. 1.

Assessment:

• Applies clinical skills to assess client/family needs; formulates assessment and therapeutic recommendations; prepares findings, diagnostic impressions, diagnosis, and recommendations; may select, score, administer, and interpret psychological tests. 2.

Therapy/rehabilitation:

• Designs, implements, and directs multifaceted clinical therapies and rehabilitation programs; provides clinical case management services; evaluates treatment effectiveness and client/family outcomes; provides emergency, crisis intervention, and after-hour on-call services; may supervise other staff. 3.

Consultation/education:

• Advocates for client and family; presents assessment results to multidisciplinary team; participates in treatment planning; provides forensic services; designs and implements training; coordinates program with other service providers and community organizations; provides client, family, and community education services; may serve as designated examiner and dispositioner; may participate in research projects.
