We are looking for a skilled individual who is experienced in working with substance use disorders. Job responsibilities include a wide range of duties (focused on substance abuse treatment) to be performed at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Position Qualifications:

Ohio CDCA license preferred. Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification required. Lived experience with substance use disorder required Three (3) years living in recovery preferred. Valid driver's license required. Must have access to a reliable vehicle during working hours, and evidence of automobile insurance in the state of Ohio is required. Must pass a background investigation conducted by Hamilton County Risk Management Must be physically able to spend several hours per day walking and/or standing and several hours per day sitting. Must provide all Peer Navigation Services withìn the Hamilton County Justice Center unless offsite services are approved by program administration.

Position Expectations:

Provide recovery support services and guidance to the jail-based population to help identify problems associated with alcohol and other drug-related problems and link with treatment post-release. Provide transportatìon services for clients to initial appointments with community treatment providers and/or recovery housing providers upon release from the Hamilton County Justice Center Maintain confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, and respect for all individuals/families served. Meet deadlines for documentation and referrals to providers as specified by agency policy and/or state/federai regulations (whichever is more stringent). standards. Participate in case presentations. Participate in regular staff, team, and/or clinical meetings. Maintain documentation of participation in supervision. Improve competencies through training/education, Provide training/education to and wìth agency staff both internally and externally. Meet or exceed productivity requirements quarterly.

Since 1949, the focus of the Addiction Services Council has been to reduce problems related to alcoholism and other drug addictions through the delivery of treatment and prevention services. The Council has a wide range of programs that serve children, adolescents, families, women, older adults, and persons with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. For over 70 years, the Council's information and referral services have provided a central point of access to the existing system of care and offered individualized counseling for individuals and families.
