About the role This is a hybrid position built for someone who is organized, detail-driven, and still wants to work with clients face to face. About half of your week supports our psychiatrist: managing the psychiatrist's schedule, preparing prescriptions for signature, handling refill requests and prior authorizations, verifying client self-assessment forms, and sitting in on visits to help with documentation. The other half is direct client work as a Case Manager (SUD case management and CPST), helping clients connect to housing, benefits, transportation, primary care, and other supports while they are in treatment. You will work directly with our psychiatrist, counselors, and clinical leadership in a small team where your work is visible every day. What you will do Psychiatry support (about half of your week) Manage the psychiatrist's schedule: book and confirm appointments, fill cancellations, set follow-up intervals per the provider's plan, and keep clinic days running on time Prepare prescriptions and refill requests in the EHR for psychiatrist review and signature; coordinate with pharmacies on prior authorizations and fills Room clients, collect vitals, and collect urine drug screens per protocol Verify that client self-assessment and screening forms (for example
PHQ-9, GAD-7
) are complete and accurate before the visit Sit in on psychiatric visits as a scribe to help the provider complete documentation in real time Track labs, pharmacy callbacks, and follow-up items so nothing falls through between visits Case management and CPST (about half of your week) Carry a caseload of clients in IOP and OP and complete scheduled check-ins in person and by phone Assess needs and connect clients to housing, food, benefits, transportation, employment, legal, and primary care resources Coordinate with counselors, the psychiatrist, and outside providers; document every contact in the EHR the same day Provide CPST interventions (symptom monitoring, skill building, crisis coordination) within your training and supervision What we are looking for High school diploma or GED (required); associate or bachelor degree in a human services field preferred One or more years in a medical office, behavioral health, or case management setting Ohio Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) certification preferred but not required; if you do not have it, you will complete the competencies within 90 days of hire with our training No Medical Assistant credential required; we train the clinical support tasks on the job Strong attention to detail and comfort learning clinical documentation and EHR workflows Comfortable working with people in early recovery and with co-occurring mental health conditions; nonjudgmental, steady, and reliable Valid Ohio driver license and reliable transportation for occasional community contacts Schedule and pay Full-time, in person at 5925 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, OH Four 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; no weekends
Pay:
