Interface Implementation Specialist S&G Labs Hawaii, LLC - 3.5 Englewood, CO Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $32 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork HL7 interface engines EHR systems Software deployment Clinical laboratory experience Attention to detail Problem-solving Full Job Description Looking for More Than a Job? S&G Labs is looking for a smart, technically capable, highly detail-oriented professional to join our Field Operations Support Team as an Interface Implementation Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who understands healthcare technology but also enjoys working directly with people. You will help our laboratory clients connect their EHR systems with S&G Labs, guide them through implementation, troubleshoot issues, and make sure the process works smoothly from the client's office to our laboratory. We are looking for someone who can understand both sides of that process: the technology and the healthcare workflow behind it. Our niche is clinical drug testing . Our passion is empowering, transforming, and healing . That mission depends on accurate information moving seamlessly between our laboratory and the healthcare providers who rely on us. What You'll Own You will help manage the implementation and ongoing support of electronic interfaces between S&G Labs and our laboratory clients.
Responsibilities include:
Work directly with healthcare clients to coordinate new interface implementations. Assist with the setup, testing, and deployment of HL7 interfaces . Work with client EHR/EMR systems to ensure orders and laboratory results transmit correctly. Coordinate with EHR vendors, client IT teams, laboratory personnel, and outside interface partners. Test interfaces and identify errors before systems go live. Troubleshoot connectivity, order, demographic, and result-transmission issues. Follow implementation projects from initial setup through successful go-live. Maintain clear documentation of interface configurations and client-specific requirements. Communicate implementation progress and outstanding needs to clients and internal teams. Provide ongoing interface support after implementation. Help clients understand workflows related to electronic ordering and laboratory results. Work as part of our Field Operations Support Team to help resolve client issues quickly and professionally. Assist with specimen accessioning in the laboratory when additional operational support is needed. The Person We're Looking For You understand healthcare technology and how clinical workflows actually function. You are technically minded but can also explain technical information clearly to someone who is not. You are extremely detail-oriented. You recognize that a small error in patient demographics, an order message, or an interface configuration can create much larger problems downstream. You are comfortable troubleshooting and do not immediately stop when something does not work. You ask good questions, think through problems, and follow issues until they are resolved. You are also comfortable working directly with healthcare professionals and representing S&G Labs to our clients. How We Work Our culture is built around being tenacious, expert, collaborative, and team-oriented . We work hard and take ownership of our results. We hold ourselves to high standards and look for solutions rather than excuses. We communicate openly, continue learning, and understand that our clients are partners in the work we do. We also believe strong teams can have high expectations while remaining respectful, trustworthy, and drama-free. Qualifications Experience working in healthcare, laboratory medicine, health IT, or a related environment . Working knowledge of HL7 interfaces . Experience working with EHR/EMR systems . Understanding of healthcare data and clinical workflows. Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong organizational and project-management skills. Ability to manage multiple client implementations and priorities at the same time. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, office staff, IT professionals, and software vendors. Strong follow-through and personal accountability. Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team. Experience with laboratory information systems, laboratory interfaces, electronic ordering, or electronic laboratory result reporting is strongly preferred. Clinical laboratory experience is a significant plus. You'll Thrive Here If... You enjoy figuring out why something is not working. You notice details other people miss. You can move comfortably between a technical conversation with an IT team and a practical conversation with a medical office. You like taking a project from "we need an interface" to a successful go-live. You understand that excellent client service means solving the problem, not simply responding to the email. You take ownership and follow through. And you are looking for a company where you can continue building your expertise and your career. Why S&G Labs? We believe great companies are built by great people. This position sits at an important intersection between our clients, our technology, and our laboratory. The right person will become a key part of how we onboard new clients and support their continued success with S&G Labs. We want someone who is interested in growing their expertise, becoming a trusted resource for our clients, and taking on greater responsibility as our organization grows. If you are smart, technically capable, meticulous, and motivated by solving problems and helping people, we would like to meet you. Come build a career with a team that expects excellence and values the people who deliver it.
