Job Description

Support Specialist, PACE Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm This position is on-site in Grand Junction, CO The Support Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for individuals calling and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, compassionate, and professional experience for participants, families, referral sources, vendors, and community members. This position is primarily responsible for answering and managing incoming telephone calls, identifying caller needs, providing accurate information within the scope of the role, routing calls to the appropriate individual or department, and ensuring messages and follow-up needs are communicated promptly and accurately. What is PACE? PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year administrative support, healthcare, or related experience required.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license, adequate automobile insurance, and unlimited access to reliable transportation maintained throughout employment.
  • Experience with audits, accreditation, or regulatory environments is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of administrative support functions, healthcare office operations, and confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to provide professional customer service to patients, families, staff, and community partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and office technology, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, scheduling, data entry, and administrative processes. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, solve routine problems, and work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while consistently demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and HopeWest's mission and values. Why Join Us?
