POSITION SUMMARY
The EHR Analyst I provides foundational support for the organization's electronic health record system, ensuring accurate data entry, basic system functionality, and user support. This entry-level role helps maintain EHR workflows and assists clinical and administrative teams in using the system effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in maintaining and updating EHR data and records for accuracy and compliance. Provide effective and timely support to end-users for troubleshooting and system navigation. Track and follow up on all issues and tasks associated with the EHR to ensure timely and accurate resolution. Participate in system upgrades and testing initiatives. Maintain user access by managing permissions, granting access to live and test environments, and assigning security groups. Maintain strict confidentiality of client and employee database information. Develop and deliver comprehensive EHR training sessions for new and existing staff, including initial onboarding, follow-up training, and refreshers as needed. Develop and maintain detailed workflow documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS HS
Diploma or GED equivalent required. College or certification in health information or electronic health records strongly desired. 0-2 years in EHR support, health information management, or related experience (internships or practicum experience acceptable) strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Products including - Outlook, Explorer, Word, and Excel and a working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems. Must successfully pass the KBI and DCF Central Registry background investigations and all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Understanding of patient care and operations Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship building Customer focused (internal and external) Excellent listening skills High accountability and reliability Demonstrates adaptability/flexibility Developed time management skills Developed organizational skills Basic proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and data reporting tools; understanding of HIPAA and data privacy principles. Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to collaborate and solve problems independently and as part of a team. Open to learning and accepting feedback
Other Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent in person and online meetings, may need to drive to different office locations.
