Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Biologics Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee the coordination and management of biologic therapies, ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies. Your expertise will help facilitate accurate documentation, compliance with healthcare regulations, and efficient processing of biologic treatments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence through meticulous record-keeping and collaborative support. Duties Manage and verify medical records related to biologic therapies, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate timely approval and reimbursement for biologic treatments. Conduct insurance verification processes, including reviewing health insurance policies, managed care plans, and coverage details such as CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring proper documentation of treatment plans, medication administration, and patient interactions. Assist with medical office tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing documentation for clinical visits, and supporting billing processes related to biologics. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and adhering to privacy standards during all record management activities. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure adherence to medical terminology standards and proper coding practices for billing and reporting purposes. Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on biologics or specialty therapies. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical confidentiality policies, and health insurance policies. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and medical coding procedures essential for accurate billing and documentation. Experience with health insurance verification processes and managed care plans. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical records and insurance documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology related to biologic therapies and clinical procedures is highly desirable. Prior experience in medical office setting.
