EMR Specialist II Bryan Health United States, Nebraska, Kearney 804 22nd Avenue (Show on map) Aug 31, 2026 Coordinates and manages medical record documentation to support continuity of care, billing, and regulatory compliance. Prepares records for clinical and operational use, processes release of information requests, and identifies documentation deficiencies requiring provider followup. Serves as a resource for interpreting disclosure requirements and supports record accuracy across departments and care settings. Performs work with increased autonomy and professional judgment.

  • Prepares electronic health records to support patient care, billing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interprets and processes release of information requests in compliance with authorization and privacy regulations.
  • Serves as a resource to staff on disclosure requirements and appropriate release practices.
  • Identifies documentation deficiencies and assigns followup to appropriate medical providers.
  • Monitors open deficiencies and supports reconciliation and resolution processes.
  • Coordinates with scheduling, clinics, and departments to ensure records are complete and accurate.
  • Scans, indexes, and qualityreviews documentation with attention to compliance standards.
  • Processes external provider, facility, and payer requests related to continuity of care or operations.
  • Maintains confidentiality and ensures adherence to hospital, state, and federal requirements Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of electronic medical records or document imaging experience or one (1) year of EMR Specialist I experience required.
