ASAP Project Overview We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to support a 3-4 month project focused on transferring electronic health records from ECW to Epic as part of a system shutdown. This role is critical to ensuring continuity of care for approximately 5,000 patients, including processing 900 authorizations and managing prebooked patient data. Responsibilities Extract patient records from ECW and input them into Epic Ensure accuracy and completeness of transferred data Meet daily productivity targets (30-40 records/day) Collaborate with internal teams and follow established protocols Submit finalized records in PDF format to Epic ✅ Requirements Strong critical thinking and attention to detail Ability to work independently Comfortable navigating electronic health record systems Prior experience in healthcare data entry or records management preferred Timeline Department goes live: January 21 Project start: January 26 or February 1 Skills Judgement, Detail, Administrative support, data warehouse, data entry, Records management, organizational and management skills, Epic, Electronic health record, Medical record, Electronic medical record, Medical records software, Health information management Top Skills Details Judgement,Detail,Administrative support,data warehouse,data entry,Records management Additional Skills & Qualifications Health information technology background is a bonus. Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and organization Data entry- HIM clerks are responsible for entering large amounts of patient data into electronic databases. They must do this without making a significant number of mistakes Basic computer skills
- HIM clerks should know how to send emails, install and uninstall software programs, use a word processor, and browse the internet for information Organization skills
- since HIM clerks work with a large number of files and information, they should be able to stay organized at all times Communication skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to become a HIM clerk.
Experience needed:
- Basic math skills to add and label boxes sequentially
- Attention to detail
- HIPAA regulation familiarity
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Data entry skills
- Warehouse experience Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50
