Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with health regulation policies and privacy laws. Document all interactions thoroughly, including medical history, insurance details, and service preferences, using medical administrative support tools. Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-up calls, and necessary documentation to support ongoing patient care. Ensure compliance with health regulation policies and hospital protocols during all aspects of the intake process. Requirements Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably with hospice or end-of-life care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA). Experience with medical administrative support tasks including data entry, appointment scheduling, and managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR). Familiarity with patient management software systems and electronic health records (EHR) management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate compassionately via phone and client communication channels. Understanding of medical terminology relevant to hospice care and end-of-life services. Ability to type quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail during documentation. Knowledge of health insurance processes and billing procedures is a plus.
