Days (United States of America) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Clinical Data Coordinator maintains all aspects of database management and reporting specific to the area in which assigned, which may include charge entry and audits, scheduling of procedures, clerical support to the staff, customers and physicians. May provide technical support and assistance to the department manager in the processes of data retrieval and record review for quality improvement, research, and committees as deemed appropriate. Essential Job Functions Coordinate procedure scheduling with physicians, physician offices, clinical staff, vendors, and ancillary departments to support efficient patient care and workflow. Serve as a communication liaison between physicians, staff, vendors, and external offices regarding procedural and operational needs. Maintain Cath Lab administrative operations, including office supply inventory, ordering, and equipment service coordination. Assist with departmental reporting, data tracking, and maintenance of procedural records and schedules. Support departmental timekeeping functions, including review and correction of payroll/timekeeping entries as needed. Provide administrative and operational support to Cath Lab leadership and staff while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Maintain competency in Cath Lab systems, scheduling platforms, and reporting software through ongoing training and education. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures. Neonates (0-4 weeks) Infant (1-12 months) Pediatrics (1-12 years) Adolescents (13-17 years) Adults (18-64 years) Geriatrics (65 years and older) Not applicable to this position Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, walking, standing, stooping and stretching. May require lifting or moving items up to 30 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. No exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Normal office environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend.
Skills Hard/Tech/Clinical Skills :
Proficient with calculator and accuracy, Microsoft office software: Word, Excel, Power Point as well as Microsoft Outlook and Calendar. Proficient in the McKesson Horizon Cardiology System (cardiac cath lab clinical reporting system if applicable) and the McKesson CVPACs system, physician portal, and STAR. Possesses thorough understanding of the Window's environment; including layouts, graphing, and formatting. Possesses working understanding of medical terminology, cardiac procedures, current Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, and departmental DHEC requirements.
