At CPH, our progressive Laboratory provides round-the-clock coverage in both the clinical and outpatient departments using current technology, which includes the following specialties: Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Microbiology, PCR, and Mycobiology. The Laboratory provides services to a strong and variable physician community, including Oncology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Spine. A strong quality and compliance program is evident throughout our organization.Position Summary:
The Outpatient Laboratory Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and quality performance of the Outpatient Laboratory where patients present for specimen collection and testing services. This role ensures safe, efficient, patient-centered operations while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and billing requirements. The Outpatient Laboratory Manager oversees daily workflow, staffing, training, performance evaluation, and discipline of outpatient laboratory personnel. The position serves as the primary liaison for pre- and post-analytical issues, laboratory information systems (LIS), and laboratory billing processes. The Manager provides hands-on support to phlebotomy and specimen processing functions as needed and promotes a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and service excellence. The Outpatient Laboratory Manager reports to the Laboratory Director and works closely with the Laboratory Operations Manager, Processing Manager, Lab Informatics Manager, Pathology Manager and section supervisors.Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED 4 years of Phlebotomy experience 1 year of Supervisory experience 1 year of Specimen Processing & Packaging experience 1 year of Clerical experience in a Healthcare Setting Phlebotomy Certification through the American Society of Clinical Pathology BLSP (CPR) through the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment At CPH, we value our employees and offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
