In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation, processing, and analysis of tissue specimens, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. Your leadership will drive the success of our research and clinical laboratory initiatives, supporting groundbreaking projects and clinical trials. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the histology laboratory team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment Oversee specimen collection, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting procedures with meticulous attention to detail Manage laboratory workflows to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results for research studies and clinical trials Implement and maintain rigorous quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols across all laboratory activities Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), CAP (College of American Pathologists), and other relevant guidelines Coordinate assay development and validation processes including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and other molecular techniques Maintain accurate documentation using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and document management systems for all procedures, results, and quality records Supervise inventory management for reagents, supplies, and equipment to ensure operational readiness at all times Oversee staff scheduling, training programs, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives Promote a culture of continuous improvement in laboratory techniques, safety practices such as aseptic technique and venipuncture procedures, and compliance management Skills Extensive experience with histological techniques including tissue embedding, sectioning, staining (H&E), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and special stains Proficiency in molecular assays such as
ELISA, PCR
(Polymerase Chain Reaction), RNA extraction, DNA isolation Strong knowledge of flow cytometry techniques and immunoassays used in clinical research settings Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and document management systems for data collection and record keeping Excellent understanding of clinical laboratory regulations including CLIA standards and QA/QC procedures Skilled in specimen collection techniques such as phlebotomy and blood sampling with an emphasis on safety and accuracy Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in data analysis and documentation Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, vital signs monitoring, blood sampling procedures, and hospital-based practices Strong organizational skills for schedule management and workflow optimization in fast-paced environments Join us to lead innovative laboratory operations that make a real difference in healthcare!
