Job Description

Target PR Range:

33-43/hr

DOE Job Details:

Provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories.

Responsibilities include:

Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment. Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies and laboratory housekeeping. Prepares various chemical solutions and media. Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies. Coordinates disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical laboratory waste. Records data and performs basic mathematical computations. Reviews temperature monitoring charts. May assist with special projects as assigned. Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.

Skills:

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience OR Associates degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
