Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the assigned Director with planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the Cardiac Cath Lab and Echocardiography Departments. Must take 15 days of call per month, assist in training the nurses and manage their schedules. Works collaboratively with administrators, department managers, key staff members and physicians in identifying opportunities for improvement. Develops systems to monitor and improve resource utilization through clinical/financial data analysis. Develops positive relationships with external customers including skilled nursing facilities, managed care organizations. Performs diverse financial and administrative duties necessary to support the activities necessary to the department and organization.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
(including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience): Current Florida RN License Current BLS Certification Current ACLS Certification Working knowledge of theory and application of clinical and diagnostic cardiovascular function, principles of performance improvement, information management, resource management and statistical data analysis Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills with the ability to promote positive working relationships Minimum two (2) years experience in cardiovascular interventional/diagnostic care
