• Role Overview
• As a
• Cytogenetics Lab Supervisor
• , you will: + Provide operational and technical leadership for the cytogenetics laboratory + Oversee staff performance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance + Coordinate workflow for karyotyping, FISH, and microarray testing + Troubleshoot technical issues and manage inventory + Write and maintain lab procedures and perform assay validations + Review complex cases for accuracy and prepare reports using ISCN nomenclature + Consult with genetic counselors, pathologists, and clinicians to ensure appropriate testing + Hire, train, and mentor technologists; schedule staff and conduct evaluations + Maintain inspection readiness and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations + Drive continuous process improvement and innovation + Perform bench work as needed and assist with operational tasks •Qualifications•Education•+ •

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field +

• Preferred:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience
• + Cytogenetics experience required
• Licensure/Certification
• + ASCP Certification in Cytogenetics (Required) + Florida Cytogenetics Lab Supervisor License (Required)
