- Lab Support Staff Coordinator
- , you will lead operational workflows and support laboratory team performance while ensuring high-quality specimen collection, processing, and service delivery.
- Key responsibilities include:
- + Coordinating daily operations and delegating technical and administrative functions + Developing staffing plans and monitoring time, attendance, and payroll processes + Serving as a preceptor and training resource for new hires + Providing leadership, education, and mentoring to lab support staff + Monitoring inventory and maintaining appropriate supply levels + Supporting regulatory compliance and participating in surveys + Overseeing specimen collection, receipt, and processing for inpatient and outpatient testing + Communicating with nursing, providers, and external laboratories regarding testing and specimen handling + Performing phlebotomy and supporting patient specimen collection as needed Qualifications Education •
Required:
- + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Experience
Required:
- + Clinical or related experience
Preferred:
- + Phlebotomy experience Licensure / Certification
Required:
- + Phlebotomy certification within one (1) year of hire (ASCP, ASPT, or AMT)
