POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director/Site Laboratory Manager and Regional Director, the Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the daily technical and operational supervision of their designated section(s). The Laboratory Supervisor functions as a member of the laboratory management team in support of management decisions and the implementation and operation of the System Laboratory. Accountable for all tasks and responsibilities as designated by the CLIA rule and/or delegations made as a result (laboratory documentation delineates this specific information). Fulfills the expectation for the completion of all responsibilities as determined by the applicable CLIA role.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Education/Required -
Clinical Departments:
BS/BA and graduation from an accredited laboratory science program or 5 years clinical experience in a highly complex laboratory.
Clinical Departments:
MT/MLS(ASCP) or equivalent certification. Specialty preferred Experience - Knowledgeable in section Operation. >=3 years supervisory experience in section required.
