Job Description:

The Laboratory Director is responsible for the technical and administrative operation of the laboratory, pathology, transfusion service, out-patient lab and professional arts laboratory. This key position is responsible for the capital and operational budgets for assigned functional areas. Demonstrates commitment to the quality, philosophy, and values of our organization by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards. Provides oversight to assigned functional areas to ensure effective and efficient lab operations, including lab planning. Follows up on any reported lab inconsistencies. Provides people leadership and ensures a well-trained and proficient staff. Ensures lab operations meets all regulatory compliance. Develops the annual lab budget and monitors performance/productivity to budget and makes necessary changes to meet budget.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science required. Master of Science or a Doctoral level degree in a clinical laboratory science or MBA is preferred

Experience :

A minimum of five years of laboratory leadership experience required. Reports to VP of Operations They need an MT, Bachelor's Required , Master's preferred. At least 5 years of Lab Leadership experience...will consider a strong Manager from a larger facility who wants to be Director. Overseeing 5 supervisors. M-F 8am-5pm position. Will oversee Quality Assurance, Finance, someone with good business acumen, ROI payback, they will work closely with 3 pathologists. Overseeing Blood Bank, Pathology, Lab, 4 draw sites as well.
