Research/Lab Technician or Manager Position Type Professional Staff Faculty Track Employment Status Full Time Months 12 Campus Biddeford, ME Description We are seeking either an early-career laboratory technician or master's degree qualified laboratory manager to provide laboratory support for the Harrison Lab. This position will be responsible for supervising undergraduate laboratory projects, maintaining laboratory operations, managing inventory and purchasing, and ensuring laboratory supplies are appropriately stocked. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain accurate, organized, and detailed laboratory records. Strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. A master's degree-qualified candidate will be expected to perform advanced laboratory activities, including data analysis and bioinformatics; histology procedures such as sample collection, processing, staining, and microscopy; tissue culture techniques including sterile technique, cell propagation, plasticware coating, cell seeding, and transfection; molecular biology workflows including plasmid preparation, q

Oversee maintenance & upkeep of laboratory equipment. Maintain complete and accurate logs containing methodological details. Maintain laboratory in a clean and safe fashion.
