Four 10-hour weekdays Some holidays are required Compensation Pay range $25 to $35/hr, commensurate with experience and licensure What You ll Do As a Veterinary Technician Assistant in Oncology , you ll support patients through their cancer care journey helping ensure each visit is as safe, smooth, and compassionate as possible. You ll work directly with our oncology clinicians to assist with treatments, diagnostics, and appointments, while supporting the team with organization and communication. In this role, you will: Hold and monitor patients during chemotherapy treatments while wearing full PPE Assist with CT scans, biopsies, ultrasounds, radiographs , and oncology appointments Support the diagnostic process by preparing and assisting with bloodwork and imaging Assist with our radioactive I131 program for hyperthyroid cats Help maintain accurate medical records, treatment sheets , and controlled drug logs Perform proper restraint , TPRs, and pain assessments Prepare and fill medications and assist with client call-backs and discharges Enter diagnostic summaries, request forms, charges, and prescriptions into EzyVet and SmartFlow Support client communication, scheduling, and procedure estimates Cross-train with other departments to expand your skills and support hospital flow
