Summary:
The HLA Team Lead , under the guidance of the Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor, is responsible for the daily supervision of testing personnel, ensuring they are competently trained in all assay methods, including HLA genotyping and antibody testing, providing orientation, guaranteeing the accuracy and validity of patient test results in compliance with ASHI and CLIA regulations. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education Associate Degree required.
License/Certifications:
A doctorate in medicine, osteopathy, or podiatry; license to practice medicine or eligible for a license to practice medicine in the state of Maine, or a doctoral, masters, or bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology, or qualify ualify as high complexity testing personnel (doctoral or associate degree and clinical laboratory training from an HHS approved program) and a minimum of two [NV1] years of laboratory training and experience in high complexity testing, including a minimum of 3 months of experience in the subspecialty of histocompatibility and immunogenetics, or otherwise meets historic qualifications prior to 1995.
