This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful, mission-critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities Direct the day-to-day operation and management of the NextGen Materials Laboratory. Maintain AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) accreditation and coordinate all accreditation activities. Ensure laboratory testing complies with ASTM, AASHTO, CCRL, and laboratory quality requirements. Manage laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Develop laboratory testing schedules supporting FAA research projects. Coordinate laboratory assessments, inspections, proficiency testing, and accreditation of renewals. Supervise laboratory operations, testing activities, and laboratory personnel. Maintain laboratory quality records, calibration documentation, and equipment history. Oversee laboratory safety programs, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Health & Safety documentation. Coordinate laboratory support for NAPTF and NAPMRC research activities. Recommend improvements to laboratory operations, testing procedures, and quality systems. Provide support and expertise in assigned domain. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards. Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. Special projects as needed. Required Skills Expert knowledge of pavement materials testing and laboratory operations. Thorough knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and CCRL testing standards. Experience maintaining AASHTO laboratory accreditation and quality systems. Knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance. Strong leadership and laboratory management skills. Excellent technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to supervise laboratory personnel and coordinate multiple testing projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience & Qualifications 10 years of laboratory and pavement materials engineering experience. Experience managing accredited materials testing laboratories. Experience supporting airport, or transportation research programs preferred. Experience with laboratory accreditation programs and quality management systems. Proven ability to work in fast-paced, client-focused environments. Experience supporting federal programs preferred. Education Ph.D. (preferred) or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Pavement Engineering, or closely related field with 10 years of experience. Work Location and Schedule Egg Harbor, New Jersey Monday- Friday 8AM
