JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Laboratory. Responsibilities include personnel management, goal setting, budget input, teaching, communication, test management, policies and procedure management, cost management, LIS maintenance, staff development and outstanding customer service skills. As part of the management team, works collaboratively with Technical staff, and frequently works with and coordinates activities with the Medical Director. This position equally covers both the Ticonderoga and Elizabethtown locations.
EDUCATON
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology (hospital-based formal internship required) OR ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification is highly recommended. Meets minimum requirements for laboratory supervisor as described in NYS Dept. of Health regulations 58-2.4 NYSED License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (preferred).
EXPERIENCE
Four years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred).
