This position supervises laboratory staff, maintains compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and supports efficient laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily activities of laboratory analysts to ensure accurate and timely testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products. Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Implement and monitor laboratory procedures and standard operating practices to ensure testing is conducted according to established scientific and quality standards. Prioritize workloads and coordinate laboratory resources, equipment, and staffing to meet production schedules and testing deadlines. Train, coach, and evaluate laboratory personnel while fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment. Monitor laboratory performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend process improvements. Assist with short-term planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational needs. Support local operational decision-making and communicate effectively with production, quality, and management teams. Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality systems, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence others, prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in laboratory documentation, reporting, and quality management practices.
Scope of Role:
Supervises a team of laboratory analysts with direct impact on daily laboratory performance. Supports local operational decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for short-term planning, scheduling, and resource coordination to meet business objectives.
Pay:
From $75,000.00 per year
