A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

The MLT is responsible for computer entry of laboratory orders, and performance of laboratory tests in the areas of chemistry, hematology, and serology. The applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a knowledge and experience in performance of CLIA waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory procedures. Qualifications for the job... Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Minimum of 1 year of lab experience required. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work as part of a team and must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Must possess excellent pipetting skills (single and multi-channel). Ability to organize workflow and coordinate with other team members. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions. Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with facility members, students, residents, staff, patients and other third parties. Ability to operate computer, keyboard and printer.
