A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Schedule Rotating weekly:
Friday
  • Sunday 7:00pm
  • 7:00am, Thursday
  • Sunday 7:00pm
  • 7:00 am No call Holidays as needed What You'll Do Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all types of blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision.
Insures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program. Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures according to department's policies and procedures. Maintains records and statistical data according to regulative requirements. Teaches new employees and students laboratory policies and procedures. Collects chain of custody urine drug screens as required. Assists as needed in all laboratory areas as required to maintain appropriate patient care. Preferred Requirements MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW or equivalent certification Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution One year acute care experience Freeman Perks and Programs For eligible full-time and part-time employees Freeman offers a wide variety of career opportunities, a great work culture and generous benefits, most starting day one!
