Garden Grove, CA Diagnostic Laboratory Science (DLS) is seeking a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)/Microbiologist to join our high-complexity clinical laboratory team. This role requires hands-on experience in organism identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing within a regulated laboratory environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and confident operating automated microbiology systems. Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the VITEK system for organism identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) Perform microbial culture workup and susceptibility testing in accordance with established SOPs Apply proper aseptic techniques and culture handling procedures Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and CDPH regulations Perform quality control and participate in quality assurance activities Accurately document and report laboratory findings Qualifications California Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License [Required] Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory Hands-on experience with VITEK strongly preferred Experience with antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) workflows Strong understanding of high-complexity testing standards Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and CDPH regulatory requirements Schedule Wednesday - Sunday Benefits (Full-Time Eligible)
