A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Maintainsadequaterecordssuchas:
worksheets,logs,inventorylists,QCchecklists, andotherasneededdata. 2. Performspreventativemaintenanceonlaboratoryequipment;performsqualitycontrol testsandcalibrationsoninstrumentsusedintestingprocedures. 3. Performsrequiredtestingofspecimensfollowingstandardizedproceduresandpolicies adoptedbythelaboratory. 4. Preparesandmaintainsproperreagents,controls,andstandardsusedinthe individualstestprocedures. 5. Receives,logs,andprocessesspecimensasrequiredbyeachareaofthelaboratory. 6. Supervisesandoverseesworkperformedbylaboratoryassistantsandclinical laboratorytrainees.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MinimumExperience:
Sufficienteducation,trainingandworkexperiencetodemonstratepossessionofthe knowledge,skills,andabilitiesrequiredfortheposition.
RequiredLicenses/Certifications:
ValidlicenseasaClinicalLaboratoryScientistorBioanalystintheStateof California.
  • Pay Range:
  • $86.
0293 / Hour _The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
